Former Koinonia Beneficiary Wins a Youth Enterpreneurship Award

Mr. Samuel Mang’era Mwita  led other youth (former Koinonia Beneficiaries from Anita and Ndugu Mdogo homes) to scoop the Kito-Domogo Enterpreneurship Challenge Award. Samuel and his Staff Investment Group (SIG) hope to enhance reintegration success among care-leavers and street youth.


Renown Author and Teacher Visits Mtaani Radio studio

As a young journalist in the media industry, I have hosted many guests during my educational program, in Kiswahili Elimika Mtaani that airs every Saturday morning from 7am to 11am on Mtaani Radio, a community radio station based in Dagoretti Sub County that targets Dagoretti Sub county residents. I have hosted various guests, but hosting the famous teacher and author Vincent Owondo was not any ordinary moment in the studio.

Drums of Kibera

15 boys from Koinonia children team, a performing art group from Koinonia community charitable institutions (Tone la maji and Kivuli centre) visited Denmark from 9th - 23th June 2014. They went to stage various artistic performances at the famous Holstebro Festuge Festival held annually in denmark.
Holstebro Festival was held for the ninth time since 1989.

Nestled on a quarter acre piece of land behind makeshift buildings and local taverns in Riruta Satelite, Dagoretti South Sub county of Nairobi, is a community based organization (CBO) with a noble cause.   Known as Riruta Environmental Group (REG) its core focus is job creation for young men and women of both Riruta and Kawangware slums through environmental work.
