Singing and Drumming for Peace

Peace is an important aspect in any setting and even more relevant as Kenya gears up to the general elections in August.

On the 24th June, Kivuli boys took part at a Moving Culture Festival where they got an opportunity to sing and drum for peace. This particular event took place at the Karura Forest amid the peaceful and cool environment brought about by forest, ample surrounding for such an initiative. In this event, drumming was an open activity where both the young and old had the opportunity play a drum, led by renowned drummers. Music is an international language and during this festival one got to use it to send a message of peace.

The event takes place annually, with the aim of promoting unity in diversity, where people from different nationalities come together to showcase different aspects of their cultures.
