Help Nuba students to complete their education in South Sudan and Kenya

In the Nuba Mountains area (also known as Southern Kordofan) of Sudan, about 3,000 secondary school students and over 70,000 primary school pupils have been affected by the civil war that restarted in 2011. Some have made it to South Sudan to seek education in the refugee camps.

Koinonia Community supports the educational programs of the Nuba Relief, Rehabilitation and Development Organization (NRRDO) in Yida refugee camp. It also assists some of the best students to reach Kenya and to access higher education. We appeal for additional funds to support such programs in the refugee camps and in institutions of higher learning in Kenya. Donors, if they wish, can be put in touch with the students they support. Average scholarship for secondary school in South Sudan is euro 300 per year, while average certificate or diploma education scholarship in Kenya is euro 900 per year.
