On August 25th, 2024, Anita Home, celebrated its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years since it first opened its doors. This occasion was a celebration of resilience, transformation and the unwavering spirit of hope that has defined Anita Home since its inception. Since its establishment, Anita Home has been a beacon of hope for vulnerable girls in society, providing them with a safe space where they can grow, learn and thrive. Through the care and guidance of our staff, who have helped shape the lives of many girls, helping them rise above their challenging situations to become responsible and respectable members of the society in various capacities.
The Silver Jubilee was not just a celebration—it was a homecoming. Former Anita Home girls returned to reconnect with old friends, mentors and to meet the current residents who are walking the same journey they once did. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, tears of joy and heartfelt stories as the girls came together to celebrate a place, they all call home.
The success of Anita Home would not have been possible without the vision and dedication of our founder Padre Renato Kizito and our long time partners Amani For Africa for their commitment to creating a safe haven for vulnerable girls has transformed lives and continues to inspire all who are part of this journey. We are also deeply grateful to our staff, partners, supporters, friends of goodwill and the community at large, your unwavering support and generosity has made it possible for Anita Home to be a place of healing, growth and transformation over the years. We would not have reached this milestone without you by our side.
As we celebrate 25 years of Anita Home, we look forward to the future with hope and determination. We are committed to continuing our mission of supporting and nurturing vulnerable girls in our society, helping them reach their full potential and become agents of positive change.
