Diakonia Training Institute was established in the year 2010 by Koinonia Community to offer quality and affordable college education. The trainees are mentored to be become professionals and agents of change in the social sector especially to serve marginalized groups and for development.
Located in Shalom House, Nairobi, Diakonia Training Institute is accredited by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) as a private college. The college offers short, artisan, certificate and diploma courses in Business and Accountancy, ICT, Hospitality and Languages, Social Development, as well as Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy. Diakonia works with a number of exam bodies including KNEC, NITA, ICDL and ICM.
Diakonia Training Institute has monthly intakes for short courses. For academic courses (artisan, craft and diploma), intakes are in January, May and September of every year.
