NDUGU MDOGO RESCUE CENTER

Ndugu Mdogo Rescue Center is a shelter that gives opportunities to vulnerable children from the streets and difficult family environments. These children are identified by Koinonia Community social workers, the government and the community members who also play a very big role of referring children who are in difficult situation and need immediate assistance.

Ndugu Mdogo Rescue Center is located in the heart of Kibera and also conducts outreach programs in Nairobi C.B.D, Kawangware and Kibera slums. The project’s main objective is the 4Rs –  Rescue, Rehabilitation, Resocialization and Reintegration of street families, (Homeless children and youths) living and working in the capital city of Nairobi. Currently Ndugu Mdogo has a capacity of hosting about 30 boys in its inreach program while supporting more in the outreach program.

Ndugu Mdogo Rescue Center conducts the 4R objectives annually with the main objective of improving lives and giving hope to the hopeless in our society (street families and families living in the deplorable informal settlements).
