In 2023, Peter’s life took a new turn alongside his two brothers, they had ended up in the streets of Nairobi after the tragic loss of their parents. With no support and nowhere to call home, survival became their daily struggle, until hope found them through Koinonia Community. Our team at Ndugu Mdogo Rescue Centre welcomed the brothers offering them not just food and shelter, but also the healing power of psychosocial counselling, this was the beginning of a journey from pain to purpose. At the beginning of last year (2024), Peter and his brothers transitioned to Kivuli Centre, where they were enrolled in school at Kabiria Road Primary School as our social workers continued working to trace and reconnect with their extended family.
